Update for Tyrone..

God Saw You Getting Tired

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.

Tyrone held on as long as he could, but finally let go yesterday evening.
He was a good man, and a great person to his friends and to Kayla, his fiancee.
His kindness and generosity will live on in the lives and memories of everyone who knew
him, and he will be truly missed by all.

We would like for his legacy to be one of continuous giving as well.
His first thoughts were of Kayla and his first actions after
payday, were to stop and get her something pink, because that's what she liked.
I am sure that he would love for his Benefits4Tyrone fund to not only
cover his final wishes, but to also continue to bless lives of others in the future.

Thank you for the continued support each and everyone of you have given us in this
short time.  We will continue to have fundraising events in the coming weeks.
Our first event will be a hot rod / motorcycle cruise, still tentatively scheduled for
Saturday, October 13th starting at 11am at The Brass Rail.  More details will follow.
We will also try to organize a Poker Night in the next few weeks.

Again, thank you for your support.

May Tyrone rest in peace,
and those who knew and loved him have much peace and comfort.

Payment Options.. Hopefully! : )..

*UPDATED*

For all the auction winners that are not in the Kansas City area, I would like for you to please send a money order, check, or you can transfer the funds to the fund account. Please inbox us on Facebook or call me 8167567726 [Kayla] for details.
I would like to designate the GoFundMe page to online cash donations only.
They do take a percentage out, of course, and I can only withdraw after so much.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this auction a success!  We had so many people who gave us support in so many ways.  Our family, friends and co-workers not only bid generously and often, they also stood by us when I freaked out about the first auction attempt and then gave me encouragement that everything would turn out fine!  : )..  I appreciate everyone's support for that!
Also, our family, friends and co-workers gave us great ideas and suggestions for business opportunities and who we could ask to donate items.  Those suggestions turned out well!
We truly appreciate every ounce of support that we have received since we started this process.
The Benefits4Tyrone fund would not be the same without each and every one of you!
Thank you all again and again and again!
Y'all definitely rock!!
Woot!
Kayla & Jan :)

Grape Therapy / Grape Stompin 2.0

Oooh, such a great time stompin grapes at Fence Stile Vineyard & Winery this weekend!  There wasn't a huge crowd either day, but we made an astounding amount of money while holding a raffle and receiving some donations from some of the wine enthusiasts who stopped by.  Fence Stile has been one of my favorites since I found them last year.  The owners, William and Shriti have been nothing but kind, welcoming and generous.  We truly appreciate their support!

Kayla and her friend Lora stomped grapes this afternoon as well.  Pictures to follow!  : )..
I even had to join the fun!  Lemme tell ya!  If you ever get the chance to stomp on grapes,
you should jump on it!  It made everyone's feet tingle.  Shriti says that the enzymes from the grape skins with some help from the stems, help to refresh feet, and says that it's the best pedicure she's had.  I've never actually had a pedicure, because, well, my feet are highly ticklish and I would probably put someone's eye out on accident!  However!  Lemme tell ya again!  That grape stomp made my feet feel awesome!  Loved it!  Again, pictures to follow!

We had Shriti's son pick the raffle winner, and it was one of the Mizzou Tour Bus fans who stopped by yesterday.  Congratulations to Sharon!  If only the Mizzou Tigers had fared so well!  Lol.
Sadly though, they did not.  Lol.

Alrighty!  The auction is still going, and some items have changed hands!  The bidding continues until 8pm.  Who will come away with the goods??  We will know in just a little while!

The good news about our raffle?  We sold so many tickets yesterday
afternoon that we ran out of tickets.  I had to print more today and add the names
of those who bought tickets after that.  (And yes, Genea!  I added your last one in there too!)
Sharon was the winner, winner, BBQ Basket Winner.  : )..
Thank you to EVERYONE who supported us!
It was truly, truly, truly appreciated!
Thank you!!!

About us

Tyrone was suffering from stomach pains recently and was diagnosed with stage four cancer on July 20th of this year. His trouble started in the pancreas, but has spread to his liver and lungs in a short amount of time. This website, and the Facebook group Benifits4Tyrone will help to serve as an outlet to help raise funds to cover financial costs. He and his fiancee, Kayla, are still fighting the fight to keep him going.

We will be posting items for a silent auction on this blog, as well as information on a hot rod cruise in Kansas City, MO, and a Bingo Night that will be held in the North Kansas City area. If anyone wishes to donate to the fund outside of these events, it would truly be welcomed and appreciated. His medical costs are being covered, however, there will be additional costs occurring in the future.

Please feel free to check back often, we appreciate all of the support that we are receiving from the local businesses in our area, as well as the support from all of our friends and family members!
